Augurs of Spring from Le Sacre [brass quintet]
Augurs of Spring from Le Sacre [brass quintet]
“Augurs of Spring” from Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring, arranged for brass quintet
standard brass quintet, with 1st trumpet doubling on picc. trumpet
Most of the arranging work I do consists of custom work for specific ensembles. This includes arrangements for my orchestra and its brass quintet, Sønderborg Garden brassband, and Brio Trio. For copyright reasons, I am unfortunately unable to make these arrangements available for sale here.
One of my arrangements that has drawn international attention is my suite of music from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet for two (tenor) trombones and piano. This suite was commissioned by Yu Hoso and Colin Williams for their Japanese tour in 2018. Yu and Colin have paired up with fantastic trombonists — including Ian Bousfield, Joseph Alessi, James Nova, and Nathan Zgonc — in performing this arrangement all around the world. This music is published in Japan and available for purchase here. The publisher also offers a version for tuba and horn as well.
If you are interested in hiring me to arrange something for your group, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the contact form on this website. I love a good challenge, and the more unusual request the better. (There may or may not have been a time when our brass quintet’s second trumpet player was required to learn to dance “Gangnam style” in order for us to perform one of my arrangements.)
Otherwise, I have a few selected arrangements available here for purchase. These are direct .pdf downloads which can be in your inbox in a few moments after purchase.
